Sommerhuber heat storage ceramics gives off heat in form of long-wave radiation heat in the infrared range. Due to their specific mass, tiles are giving off heat equally for many hours. The energizing heat storage ceramics means a health-promoting thermal radiation in the infrared range. This heat verifiably encourages the blood circulation, eases muscle tensions and increases the well-being. Particularly profiting from this effect are people suffering from allergies because no dust is blown up. The respiratory passages are relieved. The immune system is strengthened, the vegetative nervous center is calmed and the body is purged and relaxed. Our ergonomically shaped large-scale ceramics provide for the optimal physical relaxation. 
Large-scale ceramics with only few joints means an ideal hygienic maintenance. Flags on the contrary are often used in the material density has priority, e.g. in case of floor coverings.

Our ceramics may exclusively be cleaned with cleaning agents of the annually updated List RK by the German Association for the Recreational and Medicinal Bath Industry e.V. in a ph-range from 5.0 – 9.0. For the optimal and environmentally friendly cleaning we therefore recommend the ceramics cleaner particularly developed for the Sommerhuber heat storage ceramics. This cleaner goes therefore easy on the surfaces. Clean the ceramics with a clean, moist and soft cloth, do not use any wire wool!

The optical design options are extremely diverse in case of both products. The tile primarily fulfils a heat storing function; it is mainly applied in living spaces and for surfaces which serve for body contact. Flags on the other hand are dense and do not store any heat. Flags mainly fulfill a hygienic function; they are applied in the bathroom, in the kitchen and for floor coverings in the technical area. Tiles as natural products give off a cozy heat because they have the natural property to store heat and to slowly and evenly give it off to the room. Their glazed surface is soothing and as soft as silk and invites you to lean against it. This cozy warmth influences the human organism in an ideal way and promotes relaxation and health. The variety in design, whether strictly cubistic or gently ergonomic, makes it possible to realize your desired unique tiled stove/tiled fireplace in your individual living ambience.

This is different depending on the intended application. As a guideline based on experience, the „comfort zone“ ranges between 40 – 45 ° C surface temperature.

This multi-functional room will optionally bring relaxation as a dry heat room, a steam room, brine room, mud treatments or simply as a shower – all of this in a small room. Our home SPA objects are produced individually according to your personal requirements considering the technical possibilities. The minimum size required is approx. 2.2 m². They can be heated electrically (230 V) or with water (minimum supply temperature 60 °C).

The design radiator is available with water, current or in the combination water as well as current. Those are two completely different systems; that means that during the operation with current, the water in the model is not heated but the ceramics is heated by means of specific heating mats and/or heating foils. In case the system is operated with water, the design radiator is connected to the central heating systems and heats depending on the supply temperature of your heating system. In case of a desired surface temperature of the design radiator of 45 ° C the supply temperature should amount to approx. 60 ° C. The time until this surface temperature is reached amounts to approx. 40 minutes. Please always make sure to provide for an own heating circuit for the operation. It is possible to control via a so-called flush-mounted thermostat or directly via the heating manifold by means of an actuator with room temperature controller. Es In case of operation with current, the heating-up time amounts to approx. 30 minutes. This is primarily due to the fact that the heating mats used by us are directly mounted at the bottom side of the ceramics.
