Ornaments tell tales – the romantic tile pattern „Arabesco“
The new tile with the pattern „Arabesco“ tells the tale of bygone times, of romance and of the love of nature. With those connotations and their return to nature’s design idiom, the new ornaments are well-suited for our age – in particular on a dull and chilly autumn evening by the comfortably warm and cozy tiled stove.
From its marvelous treasure of traditional tiles from the Renaissance preserved for centuries and with expert craftsmanship and a love for detail, the ceramics manufactory Sommerhuber has created the new tile pattern „Arabesco”. A tile following the tradition of natural, floral surface patterns in many different glazes, which tells a special tale not only as a highlight in form of a cornice but also then used as an entire surface pattern. Maybe a tale from the Renaissance when the stylized whisk fern tendrils were a stylistic element which was used almost everywhere from architecture up to the ornamentation of fabrics and books.
