HAMAM – RELAXATION THROUGH CERAMIC RADIANT HEAT
The design of the Hamam (“Turkish bath”) has hardly changed over centuries but found a contemporary interpretation by the Keramik Manufaktur Sommerhuber that has adapted it to the clean design of today.
To meet the highest hygiene standards, large-scale ceramics are being used to create as few seams as possible because seams have always been hygienic trouble spots in every moist room. Elegant ceramic water basins made of one piece are a must in every Hamam and complement a Hamam’s clean design.
The Hamam by Sommerhuber provides incomparable relaxation through ceramic radiant heat. The heat-storing ceramics transmit long-wave, health-promoting infrared radiation to the body that is stress-relieving to the autonomic nervous system and so provides the utmost in relaxation. It promotes blood circulation, relieves muscular tension and strengthens the immune system.
Today, long-wave infrared radiation is part and parcel of spa and wellness facilities because the positive effects of this mild radiant heat are very soothing.
The Hamam is either water or electricity heated. The surface temperature is continuously variable so that the temperature subjectively felt as ideal can be individually set.
Ceramic alcoves can be installed as a special design feature and the backrest of the settee can be made of corrugated ceramic.
The factory’s Hamam is available in nineteen different glazes and manufactured according to individual specifications.
